TipShift ("the App") is operated by Monaco IT Services LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we", "us", "our"). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Device identifier: A unique UUID generated on your device, used for authentication and syncing.
- Tip data: Amounts, dates, receipt methods, hours worked, and payout status that you enter into the App.
- Email (optional): If you choose to provide it for account recovery.
- Analytics events: Anonymous usage events (screen views, feature usage) to improve the App.
- Push notification tokens: If you enable daily reminders, we store your device push token.
- Subscription status: Managed by RevenueCat; we store whether you have an active Pro subscription and its expiration date.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality.
- To sync your tip data across sessions and devices.
- To send daily reminders if you opt in.
- To generate reports (Form 4070-A, employer summaries, CSV/PDF exports).
- To process and manage your subscription.

4. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway in the United States.
- Tip data is stored locally on your device (offline-first) and synced to our servers when connected.
- Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain (SecureStore).
- All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
5. Data Retention
- Tip data: Retained until you delete it or delete your account.
- Analytics events: Automatically deleted after 90 days.
- Backups: Maximum 5 retained per user; older backups are automatically deleted.
- Account deletion: All data is permanently deleted via cascade when you delete your account through the App.
6. Your Rights
- You can delete all your local data from Settings → Clear All Data.
- You can permanently delete your account and all server data from Settings → Delete Account.
- You can export your data as CSV or PDF at any time (Pro feature).
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
